I just performed service on my Showa forks and followed the instructions of this video. It was a piece of cake to do and my bike now handles so much better with the oil in both chambers changed out and the seals replaced. Charles and RMATVMC, thank you so much for your help. Found some metal in gear oil on my 2 stroke. Bikes is chattering or knocking. Could this noise be caused by anything other than top end or crank? Also the clutch plates are eating at that metal casing they are in

You can add the DRZ400 clutch arm to the DR650 to lighten the pull and expand the friction zone. It’s slightly longer. You will need to hit it with a thin file for about 5 minutes for the cable to fit, but it’s an easy, worthwhile mod.

I have these boots. I have two issues. First is they are way too warm. My feet sweat in all conditions with thin socks. Second is they let tons of water in from the heel pivot point. Riding wet trails I can pour water out. I never had either issue with my Sidi Crossfire’s. I should have spent more $ for Sidi’s or AS Tech 7’s.

Hi . Ive done this but now when i pull the lever in its rock hard and its not opening the clutch plates . The basket is together correctly as it only goes together properly in one position . Ive done this three times to make sure i had got it together perfectly. But its still the sane . Lever is difficult to pull in and it not opening the plates

I've experimented with quite a few of these tires and for my riding, the Tusk Recon is Gold. Superb traction in a variety of conditions. Excellent durability. Excellent cost and value for the money. On my RMX450 that I made road legal I even use this thing on road stretches (It is NOT DOT compliant), between trails and it handles pavement exceptionally well at sub 60 mph speeds without wearing too much. An overall fantastic tire.

Just did this today. 07 ktm 250 exc. took me 3 hours. Had to remove the the subframe and disassemble the plastic elements in order to clear things properly. Glad to see later models are designed better.

Anyone who says a 250 cc dual sport bike is enough to ride the TAT is lying.. including the people who have done exactly that, apparently. Multiple times in fact... Brought to you by people who show you video of testing the bikes and their suspension without a few days worth of dual sport riding camping gear, food, etc on board. How weird is that! Clearly some people want to tell you that you aren't actually dual sport riding/ADV riding unless your rear wheel is throwing a roost every moment of the ride while leaving the camping gear and food behind. Without wheelspin, you aren't actually dual sporting!

Yo this actually helped me do my first set of tires last night. The tusk tools are really cheap and useful, just focused on being slow and careful and got both done in about an hr and a half.

Realize you are only talking about final gearing! Do not throw your money away changing the sockets. This will only make 2 results: 1. this will improve starting off (launching) 2. this will increase your RPM in top gear at highway speeds. Changing the sprockets is changing the final gearing on your cycle. Changing the final gearing means nothing. What really matters is overall gearing. Overall gearing is everything from the engine to the rear tire. Overall gearing is a affected by these areas: 1. Manual Transmission 2. Drive sprockets (final gearing) 3. Tire size. It is a very common misunderstanding that changing the sprockets will mean you'll always have lower gearing. That is not true. You have a manual transmission. That allows you to have what ever gear ratio you want. If you like the power of low gearing then don't shift until redline for all I care. Shifting at redline is not what you really want unless you are drag racing. My point is you can decide how high you want your RPM to go before shifting. If you like low RPM for fuel efficiency shift early and keep your RPMs low. Once you get in top gear you can't shift up any more. That's why I say changing the sprockets will affect the RPM on the highway.

Because it has not been running for several years so the oil and filters is not the best atm hehe. Is the step just so you dont get fuel everywhere? ^^

You need to keep the judder springs if your kit has the first friction plate with a larger inside diameter. I used an EBC kit and you keep the judder springs.

When tighten the dampening rod back inside the fork, does it need to be centered in the fork? My dampening rod is leaning. Basically it touches the inside of the fork on one side. Im having a lot of trouble getting it centered inside when i tightened it

Why i should take of the whole master cylinder ? 😂 I did it on my bkie, bro you make ot komplikatet for no reason... Also i cant lose the bot that is holading the Line. The bolt is has to much corsion. Dont want to change taht... So i did that without taking off the whole clutchcylinder
